Orthochilus foliosus inflorescence

Orthochilus foliosus grows a dense flower cluster that appears from spring to autumn during the plant's summer growth, the rainy season of its world. 

The inflorescence is a congested, elongated cluster, carrying from six to forty flowers. The flowers are lime-green, the sepals and lateral petals have pointed tips. The lip, the lower petal, is purple or chocolate brown near its tip with some white along the margins. The flowers are honey scented. Flowering happens from spring to autumn (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
