The branches of Jamesbrittenia tenuifolia are sparsely leaved or the leaves crowded at the tips.
The thin leaves are opposite or fascicled on the stems and short-stalked to sessile, the blades tapering into the stalks. the leaf-shape is narrowly and angularly obovate with two to six small lobes or teeth at the tips. The leaves are up to 8 mm long and 2 mm wide.
There is a covering of gland-tipped hairs on the plant (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
