Euryops serra, commonly known in Afrikaans as the langbeenharpuis (long leg resin) or the grootharpuis (big resin) and previously scientifically Jacobaeastrum serra, is a stout, hairless shrub that grows sparse, erect branches to heights from 50 cm to 1,8 m.

The species distribution in the southwest of the Western Cape is quite small, mainly on the Groot Winterhoek Mountains near Tulbagh and possibly but not certain on Mount Lebanon near Houwhoek and even the Piketberg Mountains.

The habitat is rocky sandstone ledges on lower fynbos slopes. The habitat population is deemed vulnerable due to range restrictedness, a small population and invasion by alien vegetation (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
